Sabino Rivera
Sabino Rivera is a 4th generation rancher that lives on the family homestead in Canjilon, New Mexico. Sabino served our country in the US Airforce for 10 years as a jet engine mechanic. After his military service, Sabino attended the College of Santa Fe and earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. Sabino retired after 25 years from working at the NM Environment Department Ground Water Quality Bureau. Sabino oversaw the cleanup of contaminated ground water at Superfund Sites throughout the State of New Mexico. Sabino is passionate about protecting our water, a precious resource.
Sabino is on the board at The Nature Conservancy, Canjilon Mutual Domestic Water Association, and local acequia associations. On his spare time, Sabino enjoys spending time with family, fly fishing, and mountain biking.
